Holds a strong background in supporting vulnerable adolescents in their challenging situation. Effective mentor who focuses a client-cantered approach when working in one-to-one situations. Aspires to engage his project support and organisational skills, together with his experience and knowledge in a project management capacity.
I have a passion for helping to change the lives of disadvantaged young people and keep up-to-date in changes in policy. In my free time I mentor for Action for Children and the Refugee Council working with adolescent foster children and refugees separated from their parents. Additionally I advocate and campaign for a care leaver's charity. As a former of child of foster care, I feel I can empathise with this client group.
In September I begin a master in Social and Cultural Anthropology at UCL. I will be looking at the lives of adolescents in foster care and separated refugee children in the UK, conducting fieldwork with the charities I work with.
