Throughout my education, I have always maintained a motivated and conscientious approach to any work I undertake. My hard-working attitude and inquisitive nature have enabled me to achieve the highest grades in my year at school, and both years at University. I currently study three languages, and aim to reach fluency in French and Spanish by the end of my degree. I have just returned from my ERASMUS year abroad, and am currently preparing my final year at the University of Birmingham. I spent one year studying in the University of Salamanca, Spain, and also teaching English in an Academy, and I then spent the summer studying and working in central France. My year abroad has, without doubt, not only enhanced my language skills to a level only possible from living in the countries, but also opened my eyes to different cultural practices and reinforced my independent experience.
I have always realised my passion for teaching and educating others. After having offered private tutoring for three years, running Spanish 'PASS' sessions for the first year students in Birmingham, and teaching English to Spanish students in Salamanca, I envisage this passion as a basis for my future career. I am willing to take on various volunteering or internship roles in this sector in order to gain as many skills as possible. |
